At Loving Adventures, we believe that surfing is one of the best ways for kids to connect with the ocean, stay active, and build confidence. Our Kids Surf Camp in Nosara offers a perfect mix of ocean safety education, surf lessons, and fun ocean activities in one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful coastal destinations.

We offer 1, 5, or 10-day surf camps for kids (ages 6-14) with a focus on building confidence, ocean awareness, and, most importantly, having fun in the water.

Safety is Our Top Priority
At Loving Adventures, we take ocean safety seriously. Every lesson includes a thorough safety briefing, and all of our head instructors are trained in first aid and CPR. We also have a lifeguard on site to all times. We make sure your child is always safe, confident, and prepared for the surf. Our philosophy is all about empowering kids with the knowledge and skills they need to be safe in the water while having fun.
Some of the key safety points we teach:

Understanding the Ocean: Kids will learn how to recognize safe surf spots, the importance of warm-ups, and how to stay calm if they get caught in a wave.

Surf Etiquette: Respect for the ocean and others in the water is key. We teach kids how to share the waves and wait their turn.

Rip Currents & Water Safety: In addition to fun surfing lessons, we educate kids on how to spot and safely respond to rip currents, ensuring they always stay in control.

Do you need to know how to surf to join?
No experience is necessary! Our camp is designed for beginners and advanced kids, and our instructors will guide your child every step of the way. -
What age is the camp for?
Our kids surf camp is for children ages 6-14. We keep group sizes small to ensure personalized attention for each child. -
What should my child bring?
Just a swimsuit, rashguard, water bottle and a smile! We provide all the surf gear and safety equipment your child will need. If you prefer to bring your own Equipment, you're welcome to do so. -
What happens if my child is afraid of the water?
Our instructors are trained to work with children of all comfort levels. If your child is nervous, we’ll take extra care to help them build confidence in the water.
